Holiday Destinations - Heart of England
"Mellow stone – Leafy walks – Houses & Gardens – Quiet lanes –
Castles – Cider – Rivers – Precious villages "
 |
An ancient cross near the village of Meriden near Coventry marks the spot many claim is the centre of England Heartland. From here to the contrasting themes of the Heart of England are clear. To the south west the Cotswold hills rise sharply from the fields and villages of Warwickshire. To the east the sheep grazing uplands of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire north and to the south lie the fruitful fields and orchards of the Vale of Evesham.

Motorhome holiday - Heart of England
Too pretty to be true but the Cotswold villages that surround the busy Burford and Bilbury still remain unchanged over the years. The Wye river meanders through the heart of England and its progress can be followed alongside leafy lanes to join the River Severn at Hereford.
Heart of England way of life
Sample the cider and progress towards the Welsh border towns of Chepstow and Ludlow with its tudor timber-framed houses so typical of Herefordshire and Shropshire. An ideal rest bite during a motor home holiday tour.
